OPPOSE the INTERNET GIVEAWAY by Obama
Congress must act by Sept 30th
President Obama is giving away control of the Internet. He will do this simply by allowing the existing contract between the ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) and the U.S. Dept. of Commerce to expire on Sept. 30, 2016, UNLESS CONGRESS Acts to block it. This will give a private international cabal, essentially a mini-United Nations, control of the Internet.
The recently departed President and CEO Fadi Chehade' of the ICANN shepherded the handoff of the Internet through the Obama Administration. Now he is leading a high level working group for China's World Internet Conference. Do you want China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and North Korea determining who and what can be on the Internet?
When the U.S. Government loses control of the Internet First Amendment protections go away. Freedom of Speech including political free speech and Freedom on Religion expressed on the Internet will also go away. No private corporation or individual has to comply with the First Amendment, but the U.S. Government is bound to provide protection of Speech and Religion by the First Amendment.
The Internet is the greatest tool for advancing freedom since the printing press. China has the Great Firewall of China. China and Russia punish and imprison people who engage in political opposition. Iran and Saudi Arabia punish what they deem to be blasphemy....like Christianity. Does your church have a website? It is in jeopardy. Many European countries punish "hate speech" such as supporting the traditional family. ICANN manages some of the most important elements of the Internet, including the domain name system and the suffixes like .com and .org. Free speech could be shut down...just by making it too expensive for the alternative media and churches or by imposing high taxes.
Congress is working to insert language in the CR (Continuing Resolution to fund the government) to block Obama's giveaway of the Internet. Also S3034 is the "Protecting Internet Freedom Act." Sept. 30 is the deadline for Congress to Act. The CR was not voted on on Monday, Sept. 19th. There's still time to act!!!

MESSAGE: Please protect the Internet. Include language in the CR (Continuing Resolution) to block the IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) transfer. Also support S3034 the Protecting Internet Freedom Act. Protect American control of the internet. Protect freedom of speech and Freedom of Religion! With nations like China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, North Korea and politically correct Europe our Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion on the Internet will disappear. Stop Obama from giving away the Internet. (Or write your own message.) More information below.
